A form of insurance which provides monetary compensation
for death or bodily injury arising from accidental,
violent, external and visible means

- Death Benefit (A) - pays Principal Sum Insured
- Temporary Disablement (B) - pays the percentage
of the Sum Insured corresponding to the injury
- Temporary Disablement (C)
Two (2) types:
- Temporary Total (C1) - pays 2/3 of Assured’s
weekly income
- Temporary Partial (C2) - pays 1/3 of C1
- Medical Reimbursement (D) - pays for actual medical
expenses incurred by Assured due to a covered accident
up to the limit specified in the policy

- While using woodworking machinery driven by mechanical
power

Personal Accident Broad (PAB)
Personal Accident Insurance Cover, where the proposer
may choose the benefits and amounts of coverage
- Who may be covered
- Any person not classified under “Prohibited
Risks”
- Persons between the ages of 16 to 65 years old
at the time the application is submitted
- Special Features
- Worldwide coverage, 7 days a week, 24 hours
a day
- Covers commercial flights
- Disablement Benefit does not necessitate severance
of body part
- Benefits extend to cover up to 12 months even
after the policy has expired provided the accident
occurred within the policy period
- Classifications of Occupations
- Class I - No manual work - mostly office work
- Class II - No manual work but includes Traveling,
Inspecting or Surveying
- Class III - Includes occasional manual work
and/or supervision of manual work
- Class IV - Occupations or duties involving light
manual work
- Special Occupational Risks - Duties/occupations
involving heavy manual work (Covers DEATH ONLY)

Businessman’s Personal Accident (BPA)
PA coverage specially designed for businessmen and/or
company executives
Family Personal Accident Plan (FPA)
The Family Personal Accident Insurance Plan is a unique
package plan which provides accident insurance for the
Insured (who is called the principal insured), and his
family all under one policy, at a lower cost than if
these coverages were issued under separate policies
- Who may be covered
- Married and with Children -
The principal and his/her spouse not over 65 years
old and unmarried dependent children between the
ages of 1 and 23 years
- Widow or Widower with Children
- The principal applicant and unmarried dependent
children with ages as stated above
- Single - The principal applicant,
his parents not over 65 years old and unmarried
dependent brothers and sisters between age of
1 to 23
- Married without Children -
The principal applicant and the spouse who are
not over 65 years old
- Benefits
- DEATH AND DISABLEMENT - Company Pays:
- a. The Principal Insured - similar to the
PAB Schedule
- b. Spouse - 50% of the Principal Sum Insured
- c. Children (brother or sister) - 10% of
the Principal Sum Insured, not to exceed P50,000.00
- d. Parents - 25% of the Sum Insured for
each parent. If only one parent is alive,
cover is up to 50% of Sum Insured
- MEDICAL - covers the Principal Insured, spouse
and children only
Protective Personal Accident
PA for persons engaged in manual work but do not qualify
under the class IV PAB category due to their relatively
higher accident exposure or susceptibility
Unnamed Passengers Personal Accident
Provide monetary compensation to passengers and driver
of the vehicles specified in the policy in case of accident
Student Personal Accident
Insurance package for bonafide students
Christmas ‘PA’ Card
Widely known as the XPA card, it is another PA package
offered to the public during the Yuletide season
Preferred Personal Protection Plan
Combined death/permanent disablement and hospitalization
